Richard Dunmire is a security-industry executive, consultant and business leader with nearly three decades of experience in contract security, executive protection, investigations and multi-site operations.
His professional foundation includes military service, which helped shape his approach to leadership, discipline, accountability, preparation and mission-focused execution.
Richard began his civilian security career as a security officer and progressed through supervisory, management and senior operational leadership roles. This progression gives him a practical understanding of how decisions made at the executive level affect managers, supervisors, frontline personnel, clients and financial performance.
He has led large, geographically distributed operations involving more than 1,000 employees, over 100 client locations, multi-state responsibilities and substantial branch-level revenue. His work has included workforce planning, recruiting, scheduling, overtime management, client service, operational turnarounds, vendor networks, technology implementation, performance analytics and P&L accountability.
Richard holds a Master of Business Administration and is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Marymount University with a focus on business intelligence, analytics and artificial intelligence.
His doctoral research examines how frontline supervision and employment conditions influence workforce stability and service performance in contract security operations.
Richard also serves the security profession through ASIS International, including work involving security-services content, professional education, standards and industry programming.
